Old Business
a.        Statutes and Bylaws- Passed by majority vote
b.      main changes:
1.        A Representative floor leader will be elected from elected SGA member representatives.  The representative floor leader will act as point of contact between SGA and student organizations to assist with questions and clarification of information.
2.       Attendance will be more focused towards elected SGA representatives present at meeting.  Future SGA meeting roll call will be more focused on roll call of individual elected student organization SGA representatives.
3.       No requests for per diems to students shall be allowed through SGA
4.       EC when voting on funds request, just voting that everything in the funds request is submitted properly.  Not to represent the EC support, approval, or disapproval of the request.  Approval or disapproval of the funds request is voted on in SGA.
5.       No SGA funds may be requested to cover graduation regalia. 
6.       If requesting funds from SGA for purchase of printed material, t-shirts, or other fundraising material, the SGA logo must be present on material.  If at least half of funds requested from discretionary the SGA logo would be required.
7.       Tier 3 will become Tier 1 and vice versa
8.       Limitations for what funds may be requested from discretionary funds.  Tier 1, no limit.  Tier 2, no more than 7x the amount of their appropriated funds.  Tier 3, no more than 5x the amount of their appropriated funds.  New clubs and organizations are given $100 from their appropriated funds, most they are able to ask for 3x more than their appropriated funds.
9.       To be EC position, interested in President or VP must have 2 immediately preceding semesters in SGA prior to qualifying to run for President or VP of EC.

Bass Fishing Club Resolution SGA
Bass Fishing Club requests to be reinstated into SGA.  Bass Fishing Club has previously been deficient of the SGA statutes and by-laws.
                Bass Fishing Club has elected new officers.
                Question:  Does the Bass Fishing Club have any events planned for the spring semester?
Answer:  They plan to hold a fishing tournament at the reserve for kids from the community.

BCM Funds Request $313.39
                Spring Break trip $86.61 from appropriated funds total cost of the trip $3,200. 
                In Aura Colorado the will work with local non-profit the kuran to assist refugees from Burma in filling out paperwork for citizenship.
                The money requested will go towards covering travel costs incurred for a 2nd 15 passenger van.
Question for Treasurer:  How much money is currently in the discretionary funds?  Current discretionary funds $2,529.50.  This amount will increase as $400 will return to discretionary from a previous funds request.  Other organizations have not used all of the funds previously requested and appropriated funds as well.

PATH Funds Request $700-
Abby the president is requesting $700 for a block party to be held April 6 at 5:00 tentatively at the back patio of Centennial Center to include prizes, food, and guest speaker.
$700 request amount was submitted prior to their fundraiser.  During their fundraiser they raised over $100 dollars that will go towards the block party.  Goal of the block party will help them to grow and to reach out to students.

Presentation of Statutes and Bylaws
                -Vote on March 27th
-changes to tier rating system switch tier 1 and 3 to establish tier 1 as the highest tier and tier 3 the lowest tier system
                -Title Four more defined explanation of events

  • Roll Call:  Biology Club 6 present 2 voting
  • Approval of Agenda: Agenda was amended add Biology Club to make announcements and SGA add surprise between Approval of Agenda and Reports.  Amendment to agenda approved.
  • Surprise:  3 volunteers from representatives and senators performed an activity copying the behaviors of others present at meeting in an attempt to guess what activity was being performed.  Jeremiah Vick guessed correctly.  Activity that was being performed was roping cattle.

Currently there are senate seats available for the following.  Anyone interested in representing these departments as a senator needs to contact Bryce Hall.

Student Government Associates need to update contact information and any changes in leadership.

Parliamentarian-Elizabeth
Executive Committee is still reviewing amendments to statutes and bylaws.  Proposed amendments to statutes and bylaws should be available and reviewed at next SGA meeting and to be voted on following SGA meeting.

Public Relations-Chelsea Fiedler
SGA banquet will be held April 24th at 6:00 p.m.  SGA representatives and one guest are encouraged to attend.

Treasurer-Bethany Henley
Current discretionary funds budget is $8,506.01.  Any student association seeking an updated amount of available funds for their organization may contact the treasurer.

Secretary-Mary Ainesworth
The SGA meeting sessions are being recorded.  Mary requests that we speak clearly to assist in recording of meetings.

Review of 2015 Spring Calendar
The SGA banquet is scheduled to be held in the ballroom.  Awards will be presented at the banquet.

Thank you to all organizations for turning in required paperwork.

There will be leadership rolls available for the fall semester as 3 for the Executive Committee will be graduating and various senators will be graduating.  Those interested in a place in the Executive Committee and in the senate are encouraged to run for office during elections.

Easter Egg Hunt is tentatively scheduled for April 4th.

All missing paperwork is due by April 1st.  All Fall 2015 list of elected student organization leadership is due by April 1.

Advisor-Brock Crawford
Thank you to those that participated in the MLK week of service.  More opportunities will be available in the future.
Hillcat Cafe now has smoothies.  There is a change in their specials.  Tuesday is Taco Tuesday.  Wednesday is $1 wing day.
The pool table in the rec room is being re-felted.  There will soon be an air hockey table as well.
There is a basketball game tomorrow.  RSU students are encouraged to attend.  January 31st is White Out game.  The first 750 to attend the game will receive a free t-shirt.  February 28th there will be a bobble head giveaway.  Inter mural signups for basketball will be coming up.
If anyone has questions about graduation chords please e-mail Brock by Monday at 4:00 p.m.
In honor of Valentines Day, RSU will be hosting a couples dating contest on February 11th.  Four couples will be selected.  Prizes may include movie tickets to a Redbox rental.  The contest will be held in Baird Hall.

Announcements-
Biology Club-Jeremiah Vick
The RSU Biology Club has three fundraisers coming up.  A Fat Tuesday Pancake Breakfast will be held on February 17th.  Pancakes will be sold for 8 a.m. until noon.  Pancakes will be 3 for $1. A Murder Mystery dinner is scheduled as well as events to be held during Earth Day week including a 5K.

      This is an opportunity for our club to showcase what we have to offer.
       We should be setup by 8:00 a.m.

RSU Basketball schedules are out.
      There is an RSU student only section at the basketball games.
      SGA would like to see an increase in student involvement and attendance.otin

Homecoming Voting
      Voting will take place online November 3-5.

Paint the Town Blue
       For homecoming week (Nov. 16-22) we will be painting the town blue.
       RSU Biology Club is in contact with Brock Crawford to register for a window.
       Club's and Organizations will be assigned a business's window to decorate in the NeMar
       Shopping  Center.  Windows are first come first serve.
       Organizations will have Tuesday Nov 18 to decorate the business window.
       Judging will be held on Wednesday November 19.
       A winner will be announced on Friday November 21 at

Homecoming Student Events
       November 18-skating from 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
       November 19-Casino night-There will be poker, other games, free food, and prizes.
       November 20-RSU has partnered with TTCU to sponsor an pre release showing of
             Mockingjay.
             The movie will be shown at B&B Theater.  Entry is free with a canned food item.
              How it works-You must take your canned food item prior to the movie showing to
              the Student Organization office at RSU to receive your ticket voucher.  You then
              exchange your ticket voucher for a ticket at the theater the night of the movie.
              Ticket vouchers are first come first serve.  Additional tickets for students, faculty,
              and staff may be purchased for $8.
      November 21-pep rally will be held at NeMar Center
      November 22-11 a.m.-RSU will be hosting Hillcat Alley-this event is open to the public.
               Clubs and organizations have the opportunity to host a carnival game.
               Women's Basketball Team plays at 2:00 p.m.
                Mens Basketball Team plays at 4:00 p.m.
                Decision Height will be shown at Will Rogers Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.

Salvation Army bell ringing-Clubs and Organizations are encouraged to sign up to ring the
                bell for the Salvation Army to take place in front of Walmart.
                Dates available are December 5, 6, 8, & 20.  Times are from 10:00a.m. to
                4:00p.m.

November 6th-A career fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Students attending
                should dress professionally and bring your resume.  Several businesses will hold
                on site interviews.

Parliamentarian
RSU SGA does not have the revision to bylaws to present.  Revisions will be available before
            the end of Fall semester 2014 for review by members and will be posted on RSU
            SGA website.  RSG SGA will present the revision to the bylaws in Spring 2015.

RSU SGA parliamentarian has appointed an assistant, Kevin Abbey.

Public Relations Director
Congratulations and thank you to all of the clubs and organizations that participated in the
           Kiddie Karnival.  This event was a huge success!

Members of the RSU SGA will travel to OKC on November 1 to represent RSU at OSGA.

Secretary
Discretionary funds left is $8,977.82

SGA Secretary is working on creating a database that will be available to clubs and
           organizations allowing them the ability to check their clubs or organizations
            available appropriated fund amount.

New Business
Dr. Marsh is interested in meeting with RSU clubs and organizations at their scheduled
            meeting.  RSU Biology Club has provided Dr. Marsh with their scheduled
            meetings dates and times.  Dr. Marsh is interested in discussing what our clubs
            perspectives are, what we see that is good at RSU, and what can be improved.

BLOG funds request-
       BLOG requested and was approved $99.40 for Veteran's Day Parade float decorations

SVA funds request-
       SVA requested and was approved $60.62 for Veteran's Day Parade candy

Announcements
Last SGA meeting is on November 14.

Veteran's Day Parade-Tuesday November 11 at 10:30 a.m.
        Anyone who is a veteran, has military family, or any other student that is interested in
        riding on the float in the Veteran's Day Parade or handing out candy please get with
        BLOG or SVA.

The torch in front of the court house will be lit on Tuesday November 11 by members of the
        VFW in commemoration of Veterans Day.

OIC is selling Sonic cards for $5

Native American Heritage Festival is being held on Saturday November 1 at the RSU
          Centennial Center Ballroom.  This event is open to the public.  Festivities begin
          at 10:00 a.m. and at 7:00 p.m. an Indian stop dance will be held.

Decision Heights will begin on November 11.  A contest is being held to see which
          organization can have the most members attend the showings.  The organization
           that has the most attendances will win a $50 Walmart gift card.  Showtime is at
           7:00 p.m. and admission is $3.

Zi Chi still has t-shirts on sale.  They are $10.

Homecoming theme this year is Hillcat Nation the Legend Continues.

The Chemistry Club and ESA held a root beer float night.  They plan to hold the event again.
            Anyone with ideas is encouraged to let them know.
